I believe art should be accessible to everyone—and what better way to share it than by blending it with the beauty of nature? Introducing "Giving Back", a project dedicated to inspiring exploration, reflection, and creativity.
✨ Once a month, I’ll be placing an original painting out in the wild—along a trail, in a park, or tucked into a quiet corner of nature—waiting to be discovered. Each piece is a gift to the finder, a reminder to slow down, look closer, and connect with the world around you.
🌎 Why am I doing this? Because art belongs to everyone. It tells stories, sparks curiosity, and invites us to see the world through a new lens. I want to give back to the community, encourage outdoor exploration, and make art a part of everyday life.
🌟 Inspired by Birger Sandzén Growing up in and around McPherson County and attending Bethany College, I developed a deep relationship with art. Birger Sandzén’s paintings surrounded me—hanging in libraries, public spaces, schools, and homes. His work and vision made art feel alive and accessible, and it’s that same spirit I hope to carry forward with this project.
💡 Found a painting? Share your story with me! Snap a photo and tag me on social media with #JoeyEmbersGivingBack or visit joeyembers.org. I’d love to hear how the artwork resonated with you!
🌱 Join the Journey. Follow along as I post updates on where each painting is placed, and feel free to leave your thoughts, stories, or even art of your own inspired by this project. Let’s build a movement of art, exploration, and giving back—one painting at a time.
