Joey Embers’ An Open Window Selected for Mystery, Magic, and the Macabre Exhibition

Russell, KS — October 13, 2024 — Artist Joey Embers is pleased to announce that their painting An Open Window has been selected for the Mystery, Magic, and the Macabre juried exhibition at the Deines Cultural Center, running from October 13 to November 16. This exhibition will showcase a range of works that invite viewers to explore the mysterious and the otherworldly.

An Open Window, part of Embers’ Rooms of the Interior series, evokes the liminal spaces between reality and the unseen. This piece provides an opportunity for collectors to acquire a thought-provoking work that captures a moment of transition and introspection.

The Deines Cultural Center, located in a historic native limestone building in downtown Russell, Kansas, is renowned for its dedication to the arts and its permanent collection of wood engravings by artist E. Hubert Deines. Admission is free, and the gallery is accessible to all.
